George W. Reynor (Reznor) was born in 1841 in Mercer County, PA. He would enlist on August 11, 1862, at age 21 in Mercer, PA, and mustered into Company A 139th Pennsylvania on September 1, 1862, in Pittsburgh, PA. He would be transferred to Company I, 13th Veteran Reserve Corps, or 21st Company 2nd Battalion VRC on March 15, 1865, and discharged by General Order on June 17, 1865, in Burlington, Vermont. His records state both. During the Chancellorsville campaign, George was wounded at The Battle of Salem Church on May 3, 1863. He is listed as serving as an honor guard for President Lincoln's body. He applied for a pension on May 20, 1882. He died on February 7, 1829, at the age of 88 and is buried in Millbank Cemetery in Fredonia, Mercer County, PA.
